Over time, any upholstered furniture accumulates dust and dirt, especially if you have pets. This can ruin the look of your interior and the atmosphere of home comfort in general, so you need to clean it periodically.

Anyone who has ever tried to wash a sofa on their own knows how difficult it is and how hard it is to get the desired result. Of course, you can call a dry cleaner, but it is quite expensive.

Fortunately, there is a life hack that will help you clean your resting place quickly and efficiently without any extra effort.

How to clean a sofa

First, remove all the cushions from the sofa and use a vacuum cleaner with a furniture attachment to vacuum it thoroughly.

Then take a dishwashing tablet, put it in a bowl, and dissolve it in boiling water. Wait until the liquid has cooled and soak a soft microfiber cloth in it.

Wring out the cloth, place it, and wrap it around the small lid of the pot. Use a hair band to secure it around the handle.

Apply a little of the selected detergent to an inconspicuous area of the sofa to make sure it does not cause discoloration or damage to the fabric.

If all is well, then all that remains is to gradually clean the entire sofa in light circular motions. Do not press too hard on the cover to avoid damaging the upholstery.

When the microfiber cloth gets dirty, rinse it in the solution and continue cleaning the sofa until it is perfectly clean.
