"Don't even show your face here, kiss Putin": the lead singer of "Poshlaya Molly" justified his insults towards Poles, but was confused again

The lead singer of Poshlaya Molly tried to hush up the scandal

The frontman of the famous Ukrainian rock band Poshlaya Molly, Kyrylo "Pale" Tymoshenko , who had spoken disparagingly about the Polish language the day before, has come forward with an explanation. The artist explained that he was joking about Poland's accession to the Russian Empire, but that the country's residents did not appreciate his humor.

The comments called for the band to be deported and banned from performing in Poland. The star's apology on Instagram, which he combined with an advertisement for a Russian service, did not help either (scroll to the bottom of the page to see photos).

The singer began his address to his followers by saying that he was "sorry to have to explain his joke," which some of his fans allegedly misunderstood.

"When I posted this video, I thought the joke was readable. Obviously, it's a thick rofl, a lyrical character, a parody of an imperial Russian. Obviously, humor is not for everyone, humor is a little bit incorrect in the situation. What Russian Empire? You know that I am a Ukrainian. You know my position. You can read it on the Internet, I'm not hiding anything," Tymoshenko said.

In the next video, the Aviasales ticket booking service was mentioned. In short: the airline ticket search engine was created by Russian Konstantin Kalinov. As noted, it has headquarters in Thailand and Russia. Although the service operates in different parts of the world, Aviasales, the link to which was left by the lead singer, advertises a site for Russians with tips for them.

"I hope I don't need to buy tickets for Aviasales to get out of Poland. Respect to all Poles, respect to all nations and cultures in general. Sorry for the humor. It's such a sharp humor," the musician finished. By the way, his entire speech was in Russian.

In the comments under Poshlaya Molly's latest post, you can already see messages from outraged Poles, whom the band planned to perform for in several cities by the end of the year.

"Don't even show up in Wroclaw," "Go to Moscow," "I hope these scum are quickly deported to Königsberg (now Kaliningrad - ed.) and banned from entering the Schengen area," "Don't show up in Warsaw, Russian whore," "Pay attention. The guy thinks Polish is a "f*cking language" and wants to play 3 concerts in Poland. Maybe we shouldn't give such 'artists' space?" "I hope you don't come to Gdansk," "Get out of Poland if you don't like something. You can kiss Putin's ass," the messages read in Polish.

As OBOZ.UA wrote, a day earlier, Tymoshenko said in an expletive-laden tone that Poles should "learn a normal language," i.e. Russian. He also advised Poland to "join the Russian Empire, as it used to be."
