A train on a popular route was canceled in Ukraine: why it will no longer run

Train No. 761/762, which operated on a popular route between Kyiv and Odesa, will no longer run. The reason is that it was temporary, and its operation was planned only for May 3-5.

This was reported by Ukrzaliznytsia when announcing its trips. They emphasized that the train was running in a test mode. That is, it is possible that in the future it will be fully launched.

Ukrzaliznytsia is returning the Intercity+ high-speed train to Odesa in a test mode. Train No. 761/762 Kyiv - Odesa will depart from Kyiv on May 3, 4, and 5," the statement said.

At the same time, there was no information about new train dates. Nor were there any tickets available for the near future.

In general, the practice of "temporary" trains is quite common in Ukraine. Most often, railroaders launch them in connection with holidays or other important dates, when the demand for travel increases and the existing flights cannot cope with the passenger traffic.

Ukrzaliznytsia has updated the rules for buying train tickets

Earlier, Ukraine launched a train ticket monitoring service with the possibility of auto-purchase. You can use it by downloading the appropriate application and logging in to it via Diia.Signature. Yes:

• when the required tickets are found, users will receive the corresponding push notifications;
• If the auto-buy function is activated, users will receive notifications about already purchased tickets.

Monitoring of two types of tickets is available. In particular:

• for specific trains that are already on sale - with the ability to track the availability of specific seats;
• by destination - with the ability to track the availability of trains between selected cities.

"When monitoring a particular train, it is also possible to enable the automatic ticketing function. To do this, you need to enter passenger data and pay for the order: when the function is activated, funds will be withdrawn immediately, and if the monitoring is canceled or the necessary tickets are not found, the funds will be returned to the card automatically," Ukrzaliznytsia said.

As OBOZ.UA previously reported, at the same time, tickets for international railroad flights in Ukraine may rise in price. However, there is no final decision yet, as not everything depends on Ukrzaliznytsia.
