A healthy herring appetizer for the New Year's table: a recipe from Hector Jimenez-Bravo
Herring is a very valuable and tasty product that is a source of omega-3 fatty acids. You can salt it yourself at home, as well as prepare salads and make spreads.
Hector Jimenez-Bravo shared a recipe for a delicious herring appetizer with capers, eggs, and onions on Instagram.
Ingredients:
- Green onions - 20 g
- Blue onions - 30 g
- Capers - 20 g
- Parsley - 10 g
- Boiled eggs - 2 pcs.
- Herring (fillet) - 200 g
- Herring oil - 2 tbsp. l
- Mayonnaise - 1-2 tbsp
- Black bread - 3-4 slices
- Frying oil - 2-3 tbsp.
- Fresh cucumber for serving - 50 g
Method of preparation:
1. Finely chop the green and blue onions, capers, parsley, pre-boiled eggs and herring.
2. Put the chopped food in a slider bag or a deep bowl. Add the herring oil and mayonnaise and mix thoroughly.
3. Cut the bread into thin slices and fry in a little oil until crispy.
4. Put the appetizer on a serving plate, garnish with thinly sliced cucumber and serve with black bread croutons!
