How to repeat Princess Diana's signature makeup: Lady Di's beauty secrets

Many women admire the natural beauty of Princess Diana and her ability to do beautiful makeup. However, few people know that Lady Di's skin was imperfect, and she did a lot of care procedures at home to look her best. Among the Princess of Wales's favorite beauty rules are washing with glycerin soap, applying a mask made from home products, and others.

Lady Di's makeup was mostly conservative. Read more about how she took care of her skin and did her signature makeup in the OBOZREVATEL article (to see the photos, scroll to the end).

Princess Diana's skin care

It should be noted that the princess's skin was hypersensitive. Her cheeks, nose, and chin often burned when the temperature changed. For her part, Lady Di tried her best to take care of her at home.

Twice a day, she washed her face with high-quality and ultra-soft glycerin soap, which was most likely made for the royal court. It enriches the skin with useful plant extracts.

Next, she scrubbed her face with a mixture she made herself: sea salt and fresh strawberries.

Princess Diana also often made masks by mixing avocado flesh with egg white. Before applying moisturizer, she would pour rose oil on her hands, rub it in, and smear it on her face.

Princess Diana's makeup

Lady Di most often favored the Elizabeth Arden, Max Factor, Guerlain, and Clarins brands. But now many of the products of these brands that the princess used to use have long since ceased to be produced, so it is difficult to repeat her makeup.

The makeup artist Clayton Howard, who worked with the Princess of Wales, used a dense Max Factor foundation. However, makeup of this texture was used for photo shoots and important events, and the rest of the time she liked a light coverage.

Howard also applied a transparent powder to her skin to fix the result.

As for eye makeup, in the first years of her married life, she used soft Elizabeth Arden shadows. The princess's favorites among the shades were Timberland/Ric and Platinum Frost. Lady Di emphasized her eyes with a bright eyeliner of the same brand. The final touch was the blue mascara "Beautiful Color Lash Enhancing Mascara" in Navy.

The princess painted her lips with her favorite shade of Tint of Pink by Max Factor, which is now unavailable. And sometimes she used the Elizabeth Arden brand on her lips, the shades of which were in pink colors with a moisturizing effect.

We should add that the blue eyeliner trend is still used by many stars, including Dua Lipa, Sophie Turner, and Priyanka Chopra, among others.
