Watermelon and cheese salad. Very tasty and unusual
For many years now, during the watermelon season, I have been surprising guests and delighting my family with this salad. We first came across it in the States at an Italian restaurant. I immediately remembered the hot summers at my grandmother's house in Bessarabia, where watermelon is eaten with brynza.
Ingredients:
- half a small watermelon
- 100 grams of cheese
- olive oil
- 3-4 sprigs of cilantro
1. Prepare the ingredients. Chill the watermelon in the refrigerator. Peel off the rind and cut into large pieces. Rinse the cilantro well to remove any sand, as it is often found in it. Cut the cheese into small pieces.
2. Put the sliced watermelon on a plate, sprinkle with chopped cilantro, cheese and oil. Do not stir this dish to avoid excess juice.
It's ready! Enjoy a hot September afternoon with your loved ones.
