Salad "Health": how to make a healthy and tasty dish
Seasonal vegetables are ideal for making salads. In winter, the healthiest vegetables are beets, carrots, cabbage, and herbs. They go perfectly with legumes, as well as fish, sauerkraut, pickles, apples, cheeses, and nuts. It is best to season vegetable dishes with flavored oils and dried herbs.
Chef Valerii Ponomar shared a recipe for a delicious and very healthy salad made from beets, carrots, and apples on Instagram.
Ingredients:
- Carrots – 80 g
- Green apple – 70 g
- Daikon – 70 g
- Lemon juice – 1.5 tbsp
- Olive oil – 1 tbsp.
- Honey – 1 tsp.
- Any nuts – 20 g
Method of preparation:
1. Peel the vegetables.
2. Grate the beetroot.
3. Dressing: mix olive oil and honey.
4. Put the prepared vegetables into a bowl, pour the dressing over them, and sprinkle with chopped nuts.
The salad can be eaten immediately, but it is better to let it stand for 30 minutes!
