Ginger is a wonderful spice that complements the taste of any dish or drink as it has many beneficial properties. However, since it's a root, it's quite a challenge to peel it. And if you can't do it with a knife, you can use a much simpler method.

A simple life hack for peeling ginger with a spoon was published by the American publication EatThis, NotThat.

You don't need a special tool to peel this oddly shaped root. Since the peel is quite thin, you can simply scrape it off the sides and around the intricate rounded edges with a metal spoon.

Peeled ginger can be used to make a delicious warming tea. The idea was published on the Instagram page of blogger Taisa (taisa_geraskina).
