How to cook pork ribs properly to make them soft and juicy: what you need to add
Pork ribs can be baked, boiled, and stewed. Cooks advise boiling the ribs before baking and frying them before stewing.
The cook shared on Instagram a recipe for delicious, soft, and juicy ribs cooked with prunes.
Tip: choose ribs with a thick enough layer of meat and not much fat!
Ingredients:
- ribs - 800 g
- prunes - 300-400 g
- spices for meat - to taste
- bay leaf - 4-5 pcs.
- allspice - 4 pcs.
- salt - to taste
Method of preparation:
1. Cut the ribs, wash them, and cover with water for 30-40 minutes to remove excess blood. Then rinse them again and put them on a plate covered with a napkin. Blot the top with another napkin, removing excess moisture so that the ribs are dry.
2. Sprinkle the spices over the meat and rub each rib. Leave for 10-15 minutes and then fry on all sides in a little oil over medium heat.
3. Put the roasted ribs in a saucepan or multicooker bowl. Cover with water (so that it covers the ribs by 1 cm), add salt, bay leaf, and allspice. Simmer for 50 minutes (the "stew" mode). If you are using a saucepan, bring the water to a boil, put it on low heat, and simmer under the lid.
4. After 50 minutes, add the washed prunes and cook for another 50 minutes.
These ribs are very soft and tasty.
