How to boil eggs properly: Yevhen Klopotenko shares two proven methods
Eggs are a valuable product, without which many people find it difficult to imagine breakfast. Experts recommend eating them daily if you are not allergic. It is worth noting that it is best to eat boiled eggs but only if the yolk is liquid. They should not be fried, but you can still make poached eggs.

1. The first method
The chef advises putting all the eggs in a saucepan, pouring cold water 3 cm above the surface.
"Do not pour hot water as there is a chance that the eggs will crack due to the temperature difference, especially those that are fresh from the refrigerator," the cook advises.
Next, put the pot on the stove and bring it to a boil over high heat. Then add 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda and, as soon as the eggs boil, immediately remove the pan from the stove. After that, cover with a lid and set a timer.
Klopotenko noted that this method makes it possible to obtain yolks with a more delicate and velvety structure.
A secret from a cook: to peel shells easier, you need to transfer the eggs from hot water to ice water.
Time and texture of eggs:
- 4 minutes
- 6 minutes - the yolk in such eggs will be denser at the edges, but in the middle it will be liquid and spread a little.
- 8 minutes
- 10-12 minutes
2. The second method
Put the eggs in a saucepan, cover with water, put on the stove, bring to a boil and reduce the heat to medium.
How long to cook soft-boiled eggs:
- 4-5 minutes for soft-boiled eggs
- 6 minutes for hard-boiled eggs
- 7 minutes for creamy hard-boiled eggs
- 8 minutes for hard but still creamy eggs
- 9 minutes
It's worth noting that eggs can be used to make not only omelets and scrambled eggs but also stuffed eggs. They can also be added to salads and pies.
