How to bake eggplants to make them healthy: tips

Eggplant is used not only for making salads and caviar but also as an independent dish and as a delicious snack. Eggplant goes well with garlic, sweet and sour sauces, and spices.

Cook Myroslava (myroslava_sheva) shared a recipe for delicious baked eggplant with sauce on Instagram.

Tip: To make eggplants healthy, don't fry them in a pan in a lot of oil but rather bake them and serve them in a sauce!

Ingredients:

  • eggplant
  • sesame seeds
  • olive oil
  • salt
  • pepper mixture
  • dry garlic
  • hot pepper
  • salt
  • pomegranate
  • lemon juice
  • water

Method of preparation:

1. Wash and cut eggplants lengthwise.

2. Put the eggplants in a bowl, drizzle with oil, add spices (dry garlic, pepper mixture, hot pepper, salt), and mix.

3. Put the eggplants on a baking sheet or wire rack and bake for 25-30 minutes at 180-200°C.

4. For tahini, put the dried sesame seeds in a blender, whisk until smooth, add a little oil and mix.

5. For sauce, mix 1-2 tbsp of tahini with lemon juice and salt, add garlic and stir.

6. Put the finished baked eggplants on a playe, pour the sauce on top and serve!
