With a trident on his T-shirt. The Lord of the Rings star Viggo Mortensen calls Putin a barbarian and declares support for Ukraine
Actor Viggo Mortensen, star of The Lord of the Rings, appeared on the red carpet of the Glasgow Film Festival wearing a black T-shirt with a Ukrainian trident. The celebrity also expressed his support for Ukraine and criticized Russian aggression.
This was reported by the Daily Mail. "We support Ukrainians in the fight against Russian aggression, against people who condone it. Both in Russia and abroad," Mortensen said.
The star is not interested in what Western leaders should do to support Ukraine. The American used to regularly criticize former President Donald Trump when he was in office. Currently, Republicans are trying to block military aid to Ukraine.
"Two years of death, destruction and incredible suffering of the Ukrainian people. For anyone in my home country, the United States of America, or any other country in the world to ignore the barbarism, the land grab by Putin and his government, which I think is incomprehensible and unforgivable. I support the people of Ukraine and their desire for territorial integrity. Long live free Ukraine," Viggo Mortensen said in a video for United24.
