"Two years of terrible, bloodthirsty February": stars shared their memories and dreams of victory on the anniversary of the full-scale invasion

Celebrities dedicated posts to the anniversary of a full-scale war

Exactly two years ago, many Ukrainian stars forgot about their glamorous, social lives and carefree ways, taking on the responsibility to defend Ukraine in the information space and beyond. On February 24, 2022, the day of Russia's full-scale invasion, like non-media Ukrainians, celebrities renounced their ties to Russia and dedicated themselves to supporting their native people.

Today, they recall this time and share the thoughts that occupied their minds before and after the start of the great war. OBOZ.UA decided to collect the posts of show business stars dedicated to the second anniversary of the full-scale invasion of the terrorist Russian Federation.

Host Masha Yefrosynina was "strangled" by the memories of the evening of February 23, 2022, when she finished her work plans and was chatting with friends over a glass of wine.

"And suddenly, for some reason, I had the idea that tomorrow, when I get some sleep, I would probably put all our documents together and look for a flashlight. I am writing this text at the same table right now. Since then, a large company has not gathered for it. And I feel really bad. To the point of nausea. To the point of bitterness. From the realization that there is almost nothing left of the woman from that evening in me today," the celebrity wrote.

Her colleague Kateryna Osadcha also did not believe in the danger two years ago. Six hours before the first shelling, she was still filming for television.

Other stars who believed in a carefree future included singer Olia Poliakova. The family's thoughts in those days were focused on the upcoming graduation of the singer's eldest daughter, Masha. It never happened.

KAZKA, the author of the hit song "I Cried," revealed that two years ago her life changed dramatically, and her songs began to be performed not in studios but in humanitarian centers.

On this day, ballerina Kateryna Kukhar remembered the losses and the dead: "A lot of thoughts, a lot of memories, a lot of pain. Buildings, homes, museums, theaters, entire cities were destroyed. But the worst thing is that people die every day. The color of our nation," she wrote.

Miss Ukraine Universe 2021 winner Anna Nepliakh expressed hope that 2024 will be the last time Ukrainians will remember this anniversary with sadness because victory will come soon.

Host Liliia Rebryk dedicated the post to the memory of the angels whose lives were taken by Russia over the past 10 years.

Chef Hector Jimenez-Bravo recorded a video remembering Ukraine on that terrible day and all the days after.
