Michael Douglas' son shared his impressions of his trip to Kyiv

The son of Basic Instinct star Michael Douglas, Dylan, shared his impressions of his trip to Ukraine for the Fourth First Ladies and Gentlemen Summit organized by First Lady Olena Zelenska in Kyiv. The 24-year-old aspiring actor admitted that he was impressed by the country and showed a video from his trip.

He posted it on Instagram, trying to convey the main moments of his trip in chronological order - from arriving by train at the capital's train station to walking around Independence Square.

The video includes footage of not only the beauty of Kyiv's architecture, but also many references to the soldiers who died at the front. He showed the Wall of Remembrance of the Fallen for Ukraine at St. Michael's Golden-Domed Monastery and flags on the lawn in front of the Main Post Office building on Independence Square.

In the description to the video, Dylan Douglas reflected on his impressions and admitted that he was "fortunate to live in a country which is free and at peace" (USA). The actor was able to feel the war lingering in the air for three days (September 11-13) while he was in Ukraine.

"This week I had the opportunity to visit Ukraine. It was the adventure of a life time, and my experience left me feeling so fortunate to live in a country which is free and at peace. There is SO much I want to say about my experience, too much to type," Douglas wrote, adding "Glory to Ukraine!" at the end of his confession.

As a reminder, Michael Douglas also shared his impressions of his trip to Ukraine. He said that he imagined "the capital as East Germany before the wall came down, but what he saw was a fantastic metropolis." According to the celebrity, it was people who impressed him the most.

"What Dylan and I took away from this was the people. When you think about what’s happened to Ukraine, starting from the Stalin regime in through World War II, and then having to fight and maintain their 30-plus years of democracy, it’s an extraordinary place and a great reminder to all of us of the importance of freedom, democracy, and how you’ve got to work for it," the star emphasized.
