American actress Shannen Doherty, who died on July 13, always found something to surprise her fans. The media called the star "the iconic 'bad girl' of the nineties" because she had a rather scandalous reputation at the time.

Even during her illness, the strong-willed woman began to actively prepare for her own death to make life easier for her family. And, of course, Doherty called for fighting for Ukraine and actively covered the war crimes of dictator Vladimir Putin and his terrorist army on social media. Preparation for death

Doherty dreamed of completely overcoming cancer. She planned a 5-year treatment for herself to live until a cure for cancer was invented. But in the spring of 2024, she began preparing for her own death and funeral.

The actress loved her family, especially her mother, and wanted to ease the fate of a woman who would probably have to bury her own child. So Doherty began to sort through her belongings. She wanted to keep only the most valuable things, so she threw away, gave away, and sold a lot.

"My priority at this time is my mom. I know it will be hard for her if I die before her. That's why I made sure that she was less concerned about other things," the actress said.

She also loved to buy furniture, so she had four closets filled with it to relieve her family of this burden.

In addition, Dougherty knew exactly who she wanted, and more importantly, did not want to see at her funeral. She did not want to be accompanied on her last journey by people who had not cared for her during her illness.

"I think there will be a lot of people who I don't want to see there," the celebrity said.

The actress explained this by saying that some people attend funerals not because of a sincere affection for the deceased, but because of social duty or to "check a box." Shannen Doherty admitted that she has a long list of names of people she would not want to see at the funeral. However, she did not name them.

Doherty wanted her funeral to be "full of love and authenticity." She wanted a ceremony that truly reflected the relationship she cherished. But Shannen wanted to avoid any signs of superficiality or pretense at her funeral.

Since the beginning of the full-scale war in Ukraine, Shannen Doherty has been speaking out against Russian aggression. In March 2022, she called on people around the world to talk about what was happening and published footage of the consequences of the Russian invasion of Ukrainian territory.

"Praying for the people of Ukraine is not enough. We must continue to tell their story of courage, bravery, and strength. Tell the stories of the families who died, the hospitals that were bombed, the children who were shot... The lives that are forever over or changed. I support Ukraine," the star said.
