New details of the scandal with Alina Grosu have surfaced: who appointed her as a representative of Ukrainian culture and what does the Russian Polyansky have to do with it

The scandal with singer Alina Grosu, who was mistakenly awarded an official diplomatic post in the United States by the Ukrainian media, continues unabated. Although the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has denied this information, new details of the incident have surfaced. At a private event organized by New York City Mayor Eric Adams, the Russian actor Roman Polyansky, a former elected official of Gross, was seen.

He probably came to the event in the company of his former (or maybe no longer) lover, and she introduced him to the mayor of New York. The singer, who is supposed to represent Ukraine's interests, shows foreign officials that not only friendship but also love is possible with Russians. According to Kateryna Horodnycha, a journalist with the Antonina project, Alina Grosso was named a representative of Ukrainian culture by Ambassador Dr. Seema Karetna, the US Ambassador for Diplomacy and Negotiations at the G100 (a non-governmental organization called 100 Influential Women – Ed.). However, there is a nuance.

In her explanation to the media, she stated that she did not appoint anyone, but only "nominated Alina Grosu to the position of official representative of Ukrainian culture in New York, which is a cultural and artistic appointment that involves participation in cultural and artistic events held and/or organized by various entities with the support of elected and appointed officials."

In other words, Alina Grosu's "title" applies only to certain events in narrow circles of officials. Prior to that, Karetna stated that she "took the initiative to appoint Alina Grosu" and "make her the representative of Ukraine in the circles of the mayor of New York." In other words, this title applied only to Eric Adams.

"It has never been said that Alina Grosso was appointed Ambassador of Ukrainian Culture. This title is a diplomatic appointment that requires the heads of federal governments of both Alina's home country (Ukraine) and the host country (the United States) to intervene in the implementation of the relevant protocol," she refuted the fake information.

However, Kateryna Horodnycha managed to find more spicy information about Karetna. It turned out that the woman had been praising the scandalous Alina Grosu, who had many ties to Russia, with open arms because she herself was happy to communicate with Russians.

In July, the woman congratulated Putinist composer Igor Krutoy on his birthday, in Russian. "Music unites people, not divides them," was the narrative she used when she decided to congratulate the People's Artist of Russia.

At one time, she "campaigned to participate in a contest from Russian-language radio in New York." It was organized with the support of the Russian Advertising media holding. The woman also did not hesitate to boast that she had become the "main character" of the Russian channel RTVI.
