In the United States, a 21-year-old barista is perceived as a woman

Lucas McCarson, a 21-year-old barista from Kentucky, has a phenomenal appearance that often leads people to mistake him for a woman. He believes that his mother's Filipino genes played a major role in the fact that many people around him think that they are looking at a transgender person.

The young man positions himself as a man and dresses in the appropriate style. However, his "androgynous" facial features still make people around him assume that he is a woman in men's clothes, the Daily Mail writes.

One of Lucas' last posts on TikTok was about a conversation with a Christian woman he met in a coffee shop. The woman, receiving her order, touched the barista's hand and said: "Know that God can bring you back from... this."

The stranger's reaction to his appearance and long hair outraged and made him laugh. He admitted that it was not the first time he had encountered such comments in his address.

"I am mistaken for a woman every day in almost everything I do. I've been mistaken for a woman since I was in middle school, even with short hair," Lucas explained.

His blog, in particular, is dedicated to this phenomenon. He jokes about it and tries to accept that his parents gave him such a universal appearance.

Lucas shared that the comments of others who reacted to him strangely helped the American to understand what trans people feel in everyday life.
