Oksana Mykhailovna Marchenko is a Ukrainian TV presenter, wife of pro-Russian politician Viktor Medvedchuk, a cousin of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Brief biography

Oksana Marchenko was born on April 28, 1973 in the village of Chabany, Kiev region.

In 1992 she won the contest of non-professional TV presenters and became the face of TV channels Yutar and UT-1.

In 1995 she received a higher education, graduating from the History Department of Dragomanov Pedagogical University.

Since 2000, Marchenko became the host of the entertainment show "My Profession" and political talk show "Vremya" on UT-1, and founded the TV company "Omega-TV".

In 2003, she initiated a series of programs about famous people associated with Ukraine. The programs were first broadcast on UT-1, and since 2005 on Inter TV channel.

In 2007, she launched "The Oksana Marchenko Show", in which she helped heroines who found themselves in difficult situations.

In 2009, Marchenko became the host of the show "Ukraine has Talent". And in 2010 she became the host of the talent show "X-Factor". Both shows were broadcast on the TV channel "STB".

In 2017, Marchenko also became the host of the reality show "Time to Build" on the TV channel "Inter".

In 2018, Marchenko was a participant of the show "Dancing with the Stars" on the channel "1+1".

Since February 2021, Marchenko has been included in the lists of the center "Peacemaker".

Sanctions

In February 2021, sanctions were imposed against Marchenko and her husband Viktor Medvedchuk by decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine for selling oil products from the oil refinery controlled by them in Russia to the territories of Donetsk and Lugansk regions not controlled by Kiev.

Personal life

Marchenko has been married twice. She met her first husband, Yuriy Korzh, while filming on TV and gave birth to her son Bogdan in 1997.

In 2003, Marchenko married Medvedchuk and in 2004 gave birth to his daughter Daria. The godfather of the girl became Putin.

Property

Marchenko is owned by offshore firms that have 44% shares in Lvivoblenergo and Prykarpatyeoblenergo. She is also a partial owner of the TV channel "1+1".

In Russia, Marchenko owns the company Yug Energo, which also owns NZNP Engineering.

According to media reports, Marchenko is the ultimate beneficiary of Cyprus-based Tumillon Investments LTD. This firm is fully owned by Cyprus Ventolor Holding LTD. This company, in turn, owns a 50.1% stake in the Russian oil company NZNP Trade. Also on the Cypriot companies Marchenko recorded Russian "Trading House NZNP", which sells petroleum products.
