Deontay Wilder is an American heavyweight boxer.
Deontay Wilder was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, USA on October 22, 1985.
Originally Wilder planned to build his sport career in basketball or soccer. But boxing, as a more profitable sport, he was forced to choose because of health troubles with his newborn daughter.
I started to box in 2005. He made his debut in amateur boxing, winning the Golden Gloves tournament in America.
On the Olympics of 2008 Wilder managed to reach the 1/2 finals, but in the end lost to Clemento Russo of Italy. After the loss the boxer decided to go to a higher level and start performing in professional boxing.

The boxer has been married since 2009. Deontay Wilder's wife is Jessica Skales-Wilder. The couple has four children.

Because of that, Wilder holds the WBC world title (heavyweight) and also holds the record for the longest winning streak by knockout since the beginning of his career (heavyweight).
