"The enemy does not give up its plans": Syrskyi told about the most difficult directions at the front

Russian troops are not abandoning their plans to capture the entire Donbas and continue their offensive. In particular, fierce fighting is currently taking place near Kupyansk, where Ukrainian soldiers are repelling enemy attacks, and to the north and south of Bakhmut, where the invaders are trying to seize the initiative.

Even heavy losses do not stop the invaders: over the past two weeks, more than 4,000 invaders and more than 500 pieces of Russian equipment and weapons have been destroyed in the area of responsibility of the Khortytsia separate military unit. Details on the situation in eastern Ukraine were provided by the Commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Colonel General Oleksandr Syrskyi.

"The enemy does not abandon its plans and continues offensive actions simultaneously on several eastern directions. In particular, despite heavy losses, the Russians are attacking our units defending in the area of Kupiansk. In addition, the enemy has increased the use of kamikaze drones. To the north and south of Bakhmut, Russian troops are trying to seize the initiative by launching counterattacks," he noted.

According to Syrskyi, the invaders are not successful so far: Ukrainian soldiers are disrupting the occupiers' plans in heavy battles. At the same time, they are "sharpening" the offensive capabilities of the "second army of the world".

"In two weeks in the area of responsibility of the "Khortytsia " separate military unit, the Russian occupation forces lost more than 4 thousand people. Over 500 units of occupants' military equipment were destroyed and damaged ," the Land Forces Commander emphasized.

A few days ago, Syrsky met with the soldiers holding the Bakhmut and Lyman directions.

Together with the military, he discussed further measures and methods to improve the effectiveness of combat use of troops.
