Some surrender again: DIU tells about the fate of exchanged occupants

These are not isolated cases

There have been isolated cases of Russian prisoners of war returning to the front after an exchange with Moscow. But later they were captured by Ukrainian defenders again.

This statement was made by a representative of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, Andriy Yusov. "It's hard to say the percentage, but they do return, and these are not isolated cases," he said.

Yusov noted that there have been cases where the same Russian servicemen have been captured by Ukrainian defenders several times. In his opinion, this proves the humanity of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

"There are such lucky characters," he said.

It should be noted that Russia refuses to take back its severely wounded prisoners of war, despite Ukraine's offer to hand them over unilaterally. We are talking about 59 occupants who turned out to be useless to their state, which sent them to their deaths in a foreign country.

Earlier, Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu announced a new "goal of Russia's special operation" against Ukraine. It turns out that the aggressor state has launched a full-scale war to secure the release of Russian prisoners of war who were captured as a result of Russia's full-scale aggression.
