On the morning of Friday, October 13, Russian terrorist forces struck the center of Pokrovsk in the Donetsk region. Several buildings were destroyed, one person was killed and at least 12 were injured.
The enemy is believed to have launched a missile attack. Ihor Moroz, acting head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, spoke about the consequences.
"The morning in Pokrovsk began with enemy shelling. The Russians struck the center of the city. At least one dead and 13 wounded are already known. Two buildings were damaged," he noted.
According to him, the type of weapon used by the aggressor and the final consequences of the strike are currently being established. Specialists of all emergency services are working at the scene. The victims are being provided with the necessary medical care.
Earlier, the head of the Pokrovsk city Military Administration, Serhiy Dobriak, said that two explosions occurred in the city around 08:30 on Friday.
This happened during an air raid alert when the Ukrainian Air Force warned residents of the eastern regions about the activity of Russian aviation and the threat of the enemy using ballistic weapons.
According to the State Emergency Service, there are 12 injured and one dead as of 10:00 a.m. The strike partially destroyed two administrative buildings.
Rescue operations were immediately launched at the site of the impact. Rescuers helped three people get out from under the rubble.
As reported by OBOZ.UA, on August 7, the Russian Federation launched two strikes on Pokrovsk with Iskander missiles, hitting a high-rise and other buildings. As a result of the actions of Russian war criminals, ten people were killed, including a rescuer (who died in hospital), and about 90 people were injured.
