"Only with axes": Russian MMA fighter wants to fight Usyk
Russian mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter Vyacheslav Datsik has made some threatening remarks about world heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk (22-0, 14 KOs). The 44-year-old representative of the Russian Federation, who ridiculed the Ukrainian's victory over Tyson Fury (34-1-1, 24 KOs), challenged our compatriot to a fight.
Datsik said this in an interview with the propaganda TV channel Match TV. The Russian with a huge criminal record, who openly supports the war against Ukraine and has declared his participation in it, wanted to fight Usyk in Krynky, Ukraine.
"Attitude to Usyk? I don't think we will meet in Krynky. It is clear that he will not come. I would agree to fight with Usyk, but only with axes," Datsik said. He is known for having served five years in prison in the 2010s for robbing mobile phone shops. Before that, he sought political asylum in Norway but was extradited to Russia, where he was recognized as mentally ill.
A week ago, propaganda media reported that "Mariupol traders" had filed a complaint against Datsik for extortion.
Earlier, another Russian MMA representative, Oleg Taktarov, was surprised by Usyk's victory over Fury and also said that the Ukrainian cannot be considered a legend because of his patriotic stance. The promoter Vladimir Khryunov said that the outcome of the fight between Oleksandr and Tyson was rigged.
