Kickboxing champion wins his MMA's debut fight by 9-second knockout. Video
The famous French kickboxer Cedric Doumbé (5-0), who became the Glory welterweight champion twice, made his mixed martial arts (MMA) debut in the Professional Fighters League. The bout at the Zenith Paris La Villette arena in Paris ended before it could even begin.
The 31-year-old Cameroonian native knocked out his compatriot Jordan Zebo (4-1) in 9 seconds.
Zebo tried to attack the favorite with a high kick in the first attack but did it extremely unsuccessfully. The Frenchman caught his opponent's leg and counterattacked with an accentuated left side kick. Zebo fell to the canvas.
Before the referee stopped the match, Cedric managed to hit his opponent a few more times.
