The head coach of Orenburg, Marcel Licka, called the war in Ukraine an uninteresting topic for him, and he does not follow the news at all. These are the words with which the Czech expert explained why he did not leave Russia after the full-scale invasion of Russia into our country on February 24 last year.

Licka said this in an interview with the propaganda publication Izvestia. The former Czech national team player added that no one called him from his home side. He chose to cooperate with the aggressors in 2020, selling out for the money of Gazprom, which finances Orenburg.

"Nobody called me about it, didn't talk to me about it. Because people know that I care about soccer, sports. And I'm not interested in politics. I do not know whether there was any pressure on me in the Czech Republic. If there was, I did not notice it. I`ll tell you honestly, I don`t read anything on the subject. I'm not interested in it," said Lichka.

Earlier it became known that FC Sevastopol will be able to start in the new draw of the second division of the Russian Football Championship.

As OBOZREVATEL reported, Russian fans pounced on Gazprom after St. Petersburg's Zenit won the Russian championship.
