"Everything is decided for us": Russian biathlete admits that Putin's regime is not interested in the opinion of Russians
Reztsova speaks out about her neutral status

Russian biathlete Kristina Reztsova admitted that officials are not interested in athletes' opinions on participating in international tournaments in a neutral status. All decisions are made by officials and heads of national federations depending on their personal benefits.

Reztsova said this in an interview with Russian Newspaper. The two-time medalist of the Beijing 2022 Olympic Games naively expressed her hope that by the 2026 tournament in Italy, Russians would fully return to world sport and that the arbitrariness of Vladimir Putin's henchmen "will not affect us."

Russia is isolated from world sport.

"I have never cared about other people's opinions. I never thought about what choice I would make. I hope I won't have to. I'm not a supporter of either side now. I don't understand anything about politics and I don't want to get into it. My job is to run and show results. One way or another, each sport has its own federation and leadership. Everything is decided for us. I hope it won't affect us," Reztsova said.
