Saltvedt ridiculed Välbe

Norwegian NRK journalist Jan Petter Saltvedt gave a nice "wash" to the president of the Russian Ski Racing Federation (RRF), Yelena Vialbe, after she said that foreigners are envious of Russia and its competitions. The sports commentator called this statement by the accomplice of Vladimir Putin's dictatorial regime a "bad joke."

Saltvedt said this in a conversation with a correspondent of the Sport24 portal, commenting on the words of the three-time Olympic champion. The NRK employee noted that all the pathos of Vialbe about the highest level of sports tournaments in Russia and the alleged interest of Western countries in them is not true, as there is simply no way to follow the tournaments.

"Foreigners watch and envy Russian competitions? This sounds like a bad joke from Ms. Vialbe. I'm sure she doesn't believe a word she says. On the contrary, she would like to return herself and her athletes to international competitions as soon as possible. Unfortunately, this is no longer possible, and her words only sound like sad despair. We, foreigners, would not be able to watch Russian competitions even if we really wanted to. Unfortunately, Ms. Vialbe, no one wants to broadcast them," said Saltvedt.

Earlier, Olympic cross-country skiing champion Alexander Legkov made the hypocritical statement that Russians "treat everyone with great love" and "love life."
