Zadniprovskyi says there is no place for the enemy

Famous Ukrainian actor Nazar Zadniprovskyi has named the conditions under which, in his opinion, foreign actors can be allowed to work in Ukrainian cinema. The actor says that if his colleagues want to work in Ukraine, they must know the language and history of our country.

The actor spoke about this in an interview with OBOZ.UA. The actor added that foreigners should apply for Ukrainian citizenship, and then they will be happy to work in films.

"Let them decide for themselves what to do with those who want to work here. My opinion is that if they want to film, they should do it in Ukrainian. Let them learn the language and the history of Ukraine, apply for Ukrainian citizenship, and then they will get invited. There is no place for enemies!" Zadniprovskyi says.

When asked whether he feels that our actors have spread their wings because Russians no longer come here, he replied: "It's hard for me to judge. I act in my proven works with artists who have long known their worth. If you ask me, as an actor who follows the production in general, I will say that film production has flourished since 2014. When a good part of the Moskovites left, Ukrainian actors were given normal roles, not just 'eating what's served.' Not a single Russian actor has played here since 2022."

The actor also shared whether he had ever played on the set with Ukrainian actors whom he did not get along with. "I've never had such a thing, God was merciful! I am mostly invited to play comedy roles. Thus, where can you go without good humor and a good atmosphere on set? If it is a long 'soap opera', the main thing is to play your part and earn your money, but when you try to make a comedy (and I think it's the most difficult genre in cinema), you have to work very well because our audience is already spoiled," Nazar Zadniprovskyi says.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, Zadniprovskyi shared the real reason why Ukrainian actress Halyna Bezruk decided to live and work in Russia.
