Vacation in Italy

Italy is an incredible country that offers a unique blend of history, architecture, and picturesque landscapes. Vacation time is usually limited, but it is not surprising that you still want to see as much as possible.

Few people know that you can visit five popular Italian cities in just one day. Experts have determined how travelers can see Milan, Bologna, Florence, Rome, and Naples for only 22.5 euros.

Covering 770 km from Milan to Naples in one day is not an easy task, especially with three stops along the way.

Experts recommend using intercity bus routes to visit five cities in Italy, given the limited budget. You should start with Milan in the north and move south to Naples.

Here is a suggested bus route:

  • Milan - Bologna. Travel time - 2 hours 55 minutes, tickets from 3.5 euros.
  • Bologna - Florence. Travel time - 1 hour and 20 minutes, tickets from 7 euros.
  • Florence - Rome. Travel time - 3 hours 15 minutes, tickets from 7 euros.
  • Rome - Naples. Travel time - 2 hours and 50 minutes, tickets from 5 euros.

Such a trip from Milan to Naples will cost only 22.5 euros, which is 43 euros less than the cheapest train between the two cities.

The total bus ride will last 10 hours and 20 minutes. During the stops, you can enjoy short walks.

Of course, this is not an option for those who want to explore Italian culture, see the main sights, and delve into history. However, for those who want to spend an interesting and exciting weekend enjoying the picturesque scenery, this route is a great idea.

In Milan, you can have time to see the famous cathedral called the Duomo and the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, the city's famous shopping center.

The Due Torri (two towers) are the most famous tourist attraction in Bologna, although legend has it that only those who have graduated from the university can climb the winding wooden staircase.

Florence offers the world's largest collection of Italian Renaissance art.

Rome's must-see list usually includes such sights as the Trevi Fountain, the Colosseum, the Vatican, and the Spanish Steps, while Naples is home to the "best pizza in the world."

There is also one stretch of the Italian coast where you can see several cities in eight hours. The Cinque Terre, located along the Italian coast in northern Italy, is a series of beautiful scenic spots including Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, and Riomaggiore. The route can start in any direction, but most vacationers start their journey in Riomaggiore, where the Italian train stops at each of the stations before arriving in Monterosso.

This short Italian rail route has been called one of the most scenic in Europe.
