The Prosecutor General of Ukraine has served a notice of suspicion to the current MP Mykola Tyshchenko. He is suspected of involvement in the unlawful imprisonment of a former serviceman in Dnipro.

The MP faces up to 5 years in prison for his actions. This was reported by the State Bureau of Investigation.

According to the investigation, on June 20, a group of people, acting on the instructions of MP Tyshchenko and by prior conspiracy, unlawfully deprived a former Armed Forces serviceman of his liberty using physical force and special means. In doing so, they inflicted bodily harm on the victim and illegally detained him for a certain period of time.

The Prosecutor General's Office approved a motion to impose a measure of restraint on the MP in the form of round-the-clock house arrest. In addition to Tyshchenko, law enforcement officers served a notice of suspicion to another person who took an active part in the illegal actions under Part 2 of Article 127, Part 2 of Article 146 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

Law enforcement also conducted searches at MP Tyshchenko's place of residence. The SBI published photos of the searches, which show that the MP had a lot of cash in euros and US dollars.

The pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings is being conducted by an investigative team consisting of investigators from the SBI Central Office under the procedural supervision of prosecutors from the Prosecutor General's Office. Measures are currently being taken to identify other persons involved in the criminal offense. For the crime, Tyshchenko faces imprisonment for 5 years.

It is worth noting that Tyshchenko was previously involved in scandals about property misappropriation. In particular, the MP was involved in a scandal involving an attempt to take part in the illegal privatization of the Ust-Dunay port, his escape to Zakarpattia at the beginning of the full-scale invasion, and his participation in the scandal of beating an ex-military officer in Dnipro, which happened recently.

To recap, in the center of Dnipro, a group of men wearing camouflage clothing and balaclavas attacked a soldier in civilian clothes while he was walking with his child on Yavornytsky Avenue. The network claims that people in uniform attacked a volunteer, a soldier of the special unit of the Kraken Main Intelligence Directorate, Dmytro "Son" Pavlov, and that the attackers were the security guards of MP Mykola Tyshchenko.

Earlier it was reported that the resonant video from Dnipro, where a group of men in camouflage clothing and balaclavas attacked a soldier in civilian clothes, features Evelina Andrievska, an assistant to MP Mykola Tyshchenko. The Ukrainian woman, who was assigned to the Myrotvorets base and received a commendation from the Main Intelligence Directorate, was wearing expensive jewelry and filming her boss.

As OBOZ.UA previously reported, the odious MP Mykola Tyshchenko, who recently got into another scandal in Dnipro, is now trying to whitewash his reputation in every possible way. Commenting on the situation with the beating of an ex-soldier in Dnipro, Tyshchenko tried to accuse the defense lawyer of allegedly "taking possession of someone else's property." However, the MP himself had stolen his colleague's phone right in the session hall of the Verkhovna Rada a few months ago.
