If you combine plain puff pastry with a delicate cream, you will have spectacular Danish pastry. You can make several batches at once and serve them with tea when guests come over. They are especially delicious with seasonal berries and fruits.

Ingredients:

  • puff pastry - 1 pack (500 g)

Ingredients for custard:

  • milk - 250 ml
  • egg - 1 pc.
  • flour - 2 tbsp
  • sugar - 100 g
  • vanilla sugar - 10 g
  • butter - 50 g

Additional ingredients:

  • fruits and berries

Method of preparation:

1. Roll puff pastry to 5 mm thickness.

2. Cut into 12 cm squares.

3. Make notches in each square in two ends, leaving several cm.

4. Wrap both ends on opposite sides, forming baskets.

5. Brush with egg.

6. Place on parchment and bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius for 20 minutes.

7. For the cream, combine the egg, sugar, vanilla sugar, flour in a small saucepan and mix well.

8. Put on low heat and gradually pour the milk in.

9. Stir constantly.

10. When the cream becomes thick, add the butter.

11. Pour the cream on the prepared baskets.

12. Top with berries and fruit.

13. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
