Pickled homemade herring in mustard sauce: you can eat after 3 hours
Herring is the healthiest fish, and it is also the most budget-friendly. It contains a lot of vitamins and, most importantly, it is an excellent source of omega-3 fatty acids.

Ingredients:
- herring s/s - 1 kg
- leek - 1 pc.
- mustard - 9 tsp.
- vegetable oil - 150 ml
- vinegar - 3 tsp.
Method of preparation:
1. Peel the herring from the skin and insides, cut off the tail and fins, cut into portions.
2. Wash the onion and cut it into thin half rings, put it to the herring.
3. In the bowl of a blender, whisk the oil and mustard until smooth. If you like it not too spicy, mix two types of mustard: strong and mild. Add the vinegar and mix, you can leave out the vinegar if you don't like it.
4. Pour the sauce into the herring and mix gently. Put in the refrigerator for 3 hours.
