This omelet looks almost the same as the classic one. However, there are some differences in the cooking method. The dish is prepared on the basis of dough without adding eggs and milk. You can also add vegetables, mushrooms, and greens to the omelet if you like. It turns out to be very tasty and satisfying.

Food blogger Inna Levenets (inna_levenets) shared a recipe for an unusual dough-based vegetable omelet on her Instagram page, which is made without eggs and milk.


  • chickpea flour - 50 g
  • curry powder - 1\4 tsp
  • salt - a pinch
  • baking powder - 1\4 tsp
  • water - 50 ml
  • pepper
  • onion - 1\2 pcs.
  • garlic - 1 clove

Method of preparation:

1. Preparation of the dough for the omelet. Mix flour, baking powder, salt, curry.

2. Pour in water and mix. If the mass is too thick, add more water.

3. Cut the onion into rings, chop the pepper randomly, chop the garlic. Put the vegetables in the pan.

4. Pour the dough evenly over the vegetables.

5. Fry the omelet on both sides.

6. Serve the omelet with arugula, tomatoes, radishes. Sprinkle with dried Provencal herbs.
