Tomato recipe for the winter


  • tomatoes – 18 kg
  • chokeberry – 2 clusters (small)
  • garlic – 4 cloves
  • table vinegar – 100 ml
  • aspirin – 2 tablets
  • clean water – 16 liters
  • table salt – 1 tbsp. 
  • granulated sugar – 15 tbsp. 

Method of preparation:

1. First, you need to prepare the jars and lids, namely, sterilize them. (Note that the recipe is designed for two 15-liter jars).

2. At the bottom of each sterile jar, put 2 cloves of garlic and an equal amount of washed rowan.

3. Next, fill the jar with tomatoes, put 1 aspirin tablet and vinegar (50 ml per jar).

4. Dissolve salt and granulated sugar in water and put everything on the fire. Boil the liquid for no more than 3 minutes.

5. Fill the jars with the hot brine.

6. Sterilize the jars of tomatoes in a saucepan for 20 minutes, then roll up the lids, turn them upside down, and cover with something warm. Leave it in this form until it cools completely.
