The late Queen Elizabeth II preferred a fairly simple diet. To be full, it was enough for her to eat baked meat and vegetables for lunch. Her real weakness was chocolate cupcakes.
Famous Ukrainian chef Yevhen Klopotenko shared the idea of making Queen Elizabeth's favorite chocolate cupcake on his YouTube channel
Ingredients:
- flour - 160 g (+ 10 g for sprinkling the mold)
- eggs - 2 pcs (+1 egg separately for sugar)
- sugar - 100 g
- cocoa - 1 tbsp
- baking powder - 1 tsp.
- dark chocolate - 80 g
- butter - 150 g (+10 g for greasing the mold)
- salt - a pinch
Method of preparation:
1. In a bowl, beat 1 egg with sugar with a whisk.
2. Pour flour into another bowl and add 2 more eggs.
3. Mix well with a whisk.
4. Then add cocoa and baking powder to the flour, mix thoroughly again.
5. Melt the butter in a small saucepan over low heat and pour it into the flour mixture. Mix thoroughly.
6. Combine the beaten egg with sugar with the flour mixture and mix well. Cut 80 g of chocolate into random small pieces, pour them into the dough and distribute evenly.
7. Grease the baking dish completely with butter and then sprinkle a little flour on the inside.
8. Shake off the excess flour.
9. Put the dough into the mold and put it in a preheated 180-degree oven for 35-40 minutes.
10. Check if it's ready with a wooden stick.
11. Let the finished cupcake cool for about 10 minutes, then remove from the mold and cut.
