Ukrainian pie with three fillings: replace the traditional pie

This cake will be at the top of your list of favorite recipes. And that's because it's prepared right away with fillings and doesn't require much effort. In addition, it has a very beautiful appearance. Thus, a pie with three fillings will be a real decoration and gastronomic delight for any table.

A food blogger with the nickname receptuk.ua shared the recipe for Ukrainian three-filled pie. On Instagram, she also shared how to make the dough that would be perfect for this pie.

Ingredients for the dough for a 28-30 cm mold:

  • Flour - 380 grams
  • Butter at room temperature - 175 g
  • Sour cream - 3 tbsp
  • Sugar - 3 tbsp
  • Fresh yeast - 20 g
  • Egg yolks - 4 pcs

Ingredients for the filling №1:

  • Proteins - 2 pcs
  • Sugar - 50 gr
  • Ground poppy seeds - 200 gr
  • Raisins - 100 g

Ingredients for the filling №2:

  • Squirrels - 2 pcs
  • Vanilla sugar - ½ tsp
  • Sugar - 50 g
  • Dried and chopped nuts - 100 g

  • Thick jam

Dough preparation method:

1. Combine the crushed yeast with sugar and wait 10 minutes for the mass to become liquid.

2. Add the rest of the ingredients and set aside the dough for 1.5-2 hours to let it rise.

3. While the dough is proofing, prepare the fillings. Add 50 grams of sugar to 2 egg whites and beat. Add 200 grams of ground poppy seeds and 100 grams of raisins. Mix with a whisk.

4. For the second filling, beat 2 egg whites with 50 grams of sugar and ½ tsp of vanilla sugar. Add 100 grams of pre-dried and chopped nuts. Mix with a spatula.

5. Roll out the first part of the dough and place it in a parchment-lined baking dish with sides.

6. Put the filling with poppy seeds and raisins on it.

7. Cover with the second part of the dough. Top with the filling of egg whites and nuts.

8. Cover with the third part of the dough. Put the filling with jam.

9. Before baking, pierce the cake with a fork in different places. Cover it with a towel and put it in a warm place for an hour to let it rise.

10. Bake at 160 degrees for 50 minutes.
