The recipe for this wonderful dessert was shared on Instagram by a food blogger with the nickname moireceptuforeva. She also added that the sponge cake used in this recipe can be great for making other dishes.

Ingredients for sponge cake

  • Egg - 1 pc
  • Sugar - 100 gr
  • Oil - 35 ml
  • Flour - 100 gr
  • Cocoa - 20 gr
  • Boiling water - 90 ml
  • Milk - 35 ml
  • Soda - 0.5 tsp
  • Baking powder - 0.5 tsp.

Ingredients for chocolate mousse

  • Gelatin - 3 times 5 grams
  • Water - 3 times 25 ml
  • Butter - 3 times 15 grams
  • Milk - 3 times 50 ml
  • Cream 33% - 3 times 170 ml
  • White chocolate - 100 gr
  • Milk chocolate - 100 gr
  • Dark chocolate - 100 gr

Method for making sponge cake

1. Beat the egg with sugar, add the oil and mix until smooth.

2. Mix all the dry ingredients in a separate bowl.

3. Add half of the dry ingredients to the egg mixture and mix. Pour in boiling water and add milk.

4. Add the remaining dry ingredients and mix.

5. Bake at 160 degrees for 20-25 minutes.

Method of preparation of chocolate mousse

1. Pour gelatin with water and leave to swell.

2. Pour the dark chocolate into a separate bowl.

3. Heat the milk and pour it over the chocolate.

4. Add the butter and stir until the chocolate is completely dissolved.

5. Melt the gelatin and add it to the bowl with the chocolate. Mix thoroughly.

6. Whip the cold cream until soft peaks form, add to the chocolate mixture and mix until smooth.

7. Put the sponge cake on a rack, wrap it with acetate film and a baking ring.

8. Pour a layer of dark chocolate mousse over the cake and refrigerate until it is completely set.

9. Next, make another layer of mousse, but this time on milk chocolate. Pour over the previous layer and refrigerate.

10. Repeat the procedure with the white chocolate layer.
