Sweet chocolate cake that can be eaten in Lent: what to make

The Easter fast is underway. During this period, you need to give up all animal products. But if you really want sweet pastries with tea, use the following option. The sponge cake is very fluffy and tender.
The idea of making a lean sponge cake was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Olha Holovina (olha.holovina). You can choose juice or compote for the base.
Ingredients:
- flour - 380 g
- sugar - 150 g
- juice or compote - 300 ml
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- vinegar - 2 tsp.
- salt - 1/3 tsp.
- vegetable oil - 90 ml.
Ingredients for the cream:
- bananas - 3 pcs.
- orange juice - 50 ml
- sugar - 100 g
- dark chocolate - 150 g
Method of preparation:
1. For the sponge cake, mix the juice, sugar and oil with a whisk.
2. Gradually mix in the flour with a whisk. Add baking soda, salt and vinegar, mix. Bake for 45-50 minutes at 180 degrees.
3. Let the sponge cake cool completely.
4. Cut into 2-3 pieces. Cut off the top, grind it into crumbs for decoration.
5. For the cream, beat the bananas, sugar and juice in a blender.
6. Bring this mixture to a boil in a saucepan, cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring.
7. Remove from heat.
8. Chop the chocolate and add to the cream, mix until smooth.
9. Cover with foil and chill in the refrigerator.
10. Spread the cakes with cream, garnish with crumbs and nuts.
