Stuffed zucchini with shrimp: a gourmet dish that will appeal even to children

Zucchini is not only about a banal dish in batter or classic pancakes. The vegetable can be used in a rather sophisticated way. It is worth offering it even to children (without salt).

Nutritionist Viktoriia Stelmakh exclusively for FoodOboz shared a recipe for stuffed zucchini with shrimp. The dish can easily be offered to both adults and children for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

What to cook with zucchini.

Ingredients:

  • 2 medium zucchini
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 tsp. of flour
  • 50 grams of cream
  • 150 gr grated hard cheese
  • 20-30 pieces of medium shrimp
  • Spices to taste

Method of preparation

1. Cut the zucchini in half lengthwise. Cut out the middle (it is convenient to do it with a spoon) – leave it. You should get 4 halves of zucchini, similar to boats.

2. Melt the butter in a frying pan. Add the finely chopped onion. When it is golden brown, add the finely chopped zucchini center. Sauté lightly. Add the flour and stir, pour in the cream, and add the grated cheese. Stir until everything is smooth. At the end, add a pinch of nutmeg and granulated garlic.

3. Fill our zucchini boats with this filling. Put the shrimp on top. Sprinkle with grated cheese.

4. Put it in a glass dish. Put in the oven at 180-200 degrees, and bake for 20 to 40 minutes, depending on the maturity of the zucchini and the power of your oven.
