Instead of fatty minced cutlets, you can make juicy meatballs. Cooking such products takes much less time. In addition, they are ideal for mashed potatoes, any porridge and pasta.
The idea of cooking universal minced meatballs for potatoes, porridge and pasta was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Lilia with the nickname twins.mom.8. The balls do not fall apart, so rice is added to the minced meat.
Ingredients:
- minced meat - 500 grams (pork and chicken)
- boiled rice - 6 tbsp
- onion - 2 pcs
- carrots - 2 pcs
- egg - 1 pc
- garlic - 1-2 cloves
- tomatoes in their own juice / tomato juice / tomato paste or sauce diluted with water 300-400 grams
- salt, spices - to taste
Method of preparation:
1. Boil the rice. Finely chop the onions and carrots, grate the carrots and fry them a little in a drop of oil.
2. Combine rice, minced meat, half of the fried vegetables, egg, garlic clove and spices in a bowl.
3. Stir until smooth.
4. Form into balls and place on a frying pan.
5. Cover with the rest of the onions and carrots, pour in the tomatoes.
6. Simmer over medium heat, covered, for about 30 minutes.
7. Add chopped garlic, pepper, and herbs 5 minutes before cooking.
