Pickled peppers can be served as a separate appetizer or used to prepare meat or vegetable dishes. For cooking, it is best to choose ripe and fleshy fruits that are not damaged. Be sure to complement the pepper with aromatic herbs and spices.
Chef Vasylii shared a recipe for pickled peppers on his Instagram page.
Ingredients:
- sweet peppers - 15-20 pcs.
- basil - 1 bunch
- parsley - 1 bunch
- garlic - 7-8 cloves
- balsamic vinegar - 1 tbsp.
- salt - 1 tsp.
- olive oil - 3 tbsp.
- freshly ground pepper mixture - 1 tsp.
Method of preparation:
1. First, put peppers on a baking sheet and bake in the oven until tender at 200 degrees for about 30 minutes.
2. Put the prepared peppers in a deep bowl and cover with cling film.
3. Chop basil, parsley and garlic.
4. Meanwhile, prepare the peppers: remove seeds and peel them. Do not pour out the juice as you will need it.
5. Put the peppers on a plate. Add basil, parsley, garlic, salt, pour the juice, soy sauce, vinegar and oil over. Season with pepper. Mix thoroughly.
6. Marinate in the refrigerator for about 5-6 hours.
