How many eggs and flour to add to the dough for lazy dumplings: they won't fall apart
Lazy dumplings are a delicious, quick, and healthy breakfast dish based on cottage cheese dough and sometimes filled with cherries, chocolate, pumpkin, and even potatoes. During the cooking process, it is very important to observe the proportions so that the dumplings do not fall apart or, conversely, are not too tight.
Food blogger Oksana Bilinska (oxana_bil) shared a recipe for lazy dumplings on her Instagram page, which requires only 2 eggs and about 100 g of flour. This amount of ingredients will be enough to ensure that the dumplings do not fall apart and keep their shape during cooking.
Ingredients:
- cottage cheese -–400 g
- eggs – 2 pcs.
- salt
- sugar – 1-2 tbsp.
- flour – 5-6 tbsp.
Method of preparation:
1. Mix cottage cheese, eggs and sugar. Beat with a blender until smooth.
2. Add flour to the resulting mass and knead the cottage cheese dough.
3. Divide the finished dough into 2 parts, and roll each into a sausage. Cut each into smaller pieces. Shape the dumplings into the desired shape.
4. Cook the dumplings in salted water.
