Homemade chicken soup: what to add to make a new version

Chicken soup on its own is quite satisfying and tasty. It can be prepared with your favorite vegetables, noodles, rice, and even meat balls. But it will be especially delicious if you add sour cream dressing with an egg to the soup.
The recipe for chicken soup with sour cream dressing was published in one of the culinary blogs (recepti_dariko) on Instagram.
Ingredients for a saucepan of 3-4 liters
- chicken quarters - 2 pcs
- potatoes - 2-4 pcs
- carrots - 1 pc
- green onions - 1 bunch
- garlic - 4 cloves
- sunflower oil - 2 tbsp
- butter - 20 g
- salt
- pepper, bay leaf
Dressing:
- sour cream - 5 tbsp. l.
- egg yolk - 1 pc
- flour - 2 tbsp
- lemon juice - 1 tbsp.
Method of preparation:
1. First, boil the chicken quarters until tender. Then remove them from the broth, strain the broth itself.
2. Remove the skin from the meat, remove the bones, cut it into pieces.
3. Cut the carrots into slices, potatoes into cubes, chop the onion, chop the garlic.
4. Pour the sunflower oil into a saucepan and melt the butter, add the onion and fry for 1 minute, then add the carrots and fry for a few more minutes.
5. Add the potatoes and garlic. Stir fry for a few more minutes.
6. Add the meat and cover with the broth. Cook for 25-30 minutes.
7. For the dressing, mix sour cream, egg yolk, flour, lemon juice and pepper. Add 2-3 ladles of hot broth, mix quickly.
8. Season the soup with salt, add bay leaves and dressing. Cook for a few more minutes.
9. Serve the soup with croutons.
