Instead of store-bought straws, you can make these grissini sticks for children. They contain natural vegetables and fruits. The products are very crispy and flavorful. They are perfect for a quick snack.
The idea of making healthy carrot grissini sticks was published on the prikorm_kids_menu baby food culinary page on Instagram. The product requires only 5 simple ingredients.
Ingredients:
- 1 large carrot
- 2 bananas
- 180 g of butter
- 200-250 g of flour (possibly more)
- 1 tsp. baking powder
Method of preparation:
1. Boil and cool the carrots.
2. Mash with a fork together with the banana.
3. Add the melted butter.
4. Add flour (add baking powder or baking soda to the flour). Add enough flour to make the dough soft, but not too much.
5. Roll out the dough immediately on parchment, cut into strips.
6. Bake at 180 degrees for 12-15 minutes (depending on your oven).
