If you want to get fluffy pancakes, kefir is perfect for the dough. But it's not enough to just pour it out. The kefir should be at the required temperature – that's when the products will turn out perfect, and holes will form in the dough.
The idea of making custard pancakes with kefir was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Olha Pavlenko (opium_foodie).
Ingredients:
- 300 ml of warm buttermilk
- 3 eggs
- 1 tsp of salt
- 3 tbsp of sugar
- 300 g of flour
- 2 cups of boiling water (500 ml)
- butter to grease the pancakes
Method of preparation:
1. Add eggs, sugar, and salt to the kefir.
2. Mix thoroughly with a whisk.
3. Sift the flour.
4. Mix until smooth. The dough should be quite thick.
5. Then pour in boiling water.
6. Stir to combine.
7. Get a smooth, homogeneous, and liquid dough.
8. Fry.
9. Grease each pancake with butter.
