Economical "Leaky" pie: a recipe for original pastries

The "leaky" pie is not only a pastry with an original name, but also a unique look. The basis of the dessert is a fluffy and soft egg sponge cake with chocolate impregnation, which is poured into pre-prepared holes. The cake itself is airy and moderately moist, and most importantly, it is made from affordable ingredients, which is very budget-friendly.
Food bloggerAlina FooDee shared a recipe for a "leaky" chocolate-soaked pie on her YouTube channel (Alina FooDee).
Ingredients:
- eggs - 3 pcs
- flour - 100 g
- salt
- sugar - 80 g
- baking powder - 0.5 tsp
- vanilla sugar - 10 g
- odorless vegetable oil - 3 tbsp. l.
For the syrup:
- sugar - 100 g
- water - 140 g
- cocoa - 1 tbsp
- butter - 40 g
Method of preparation:
1. To prepare the dough, divide the eggs into whites and yolks. Beat the whites with a pinch of salt until fluffy.
2. Gradually add sugar to the whites while continuing to beat. Also add vanilla sugar.
3. Add the egg yolks to the resulting mass while continuing to beat. Immediately pour in the oil and mix with a mixer. You should get a light airy mass.
4. Gradually add the sifted flour and baking powder, mix everything with a spatula.
5. Pour the resulting dough into a parchment-lined baking dish. Bake in a preheated oven to 180 degrees for 30 minutes.
6. Meanwhile, prepare the syrup. To do this, mix sugar with water, put on fire and cook for 5 minutes after boiling. Immediately add cocoa and butter to the mixture.
7. Take the hot cake out of the oven and make all-over punctures in it. Pour the syrup evenly over the top and let it stand for 10 minutes. It's ready!
