With the arrival of winter, tangerines appear on our tables. There are probably no people who don't like this delicious fruit, and if someone else peels it, too.

Food blogger Valeria Veligura shared a simple and spectacular tangerine dessert on her Instagram page that will decorate your holiday table. The taste of sour cream jelly is harmoniously combined with tangerine sourness. It will be moderately sweet and refreshing. The dessert will be exquisite, although it is easy to prepare!

Delicate tangerine dessert: how to cook with minimal ingredients

INGREDIENTS (for an 18cm*13cm baking dish):

For the creamy layer:

  • 15 g of gelatin
  • 50 ml of cold water
  • 400 g of sour cream (I have 20%)
  • 75 g of sugar
  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract or sugar.

For the tangerine layer:

  • 15 g of gelatin
  • 50 ml of cold water
  • 500 g of peeled tangerines
  • 75 g of sugar
  • zest of 1 orange.

Method of preparation:

Creamy layer:

1. Pour gelatin with cold water and leave to swell for 15 minutes.

2. Add sugar, vanilla extract/sugar, melted gelatin to the sour cream and mix well.

3.Pour half of the mass into any mold and put it in the refrigerator until it hardens (15-30 minutes). Leave the other half at room temperature.

Tangerine layer:

4. Pour gelatin with cold water and leave to swell for 15 minutes. Punch the peeled tangerines in a blender and strain the juice through a sieve. Add sugar and orange zest and bring to a boil while stirring. Turn off the heat, add the swollen gelatin and stir until it dissolves.

5. Cool to room temperature and pour half of it into the mold on top of the creamy layer. Put it in the refrigerator until it hardens (15-30 minutes). Leave the other half at room temperature as well. ⠀

6.Repeat the cream and tangerine layers, each time putting them in the refrigerator until they harden (for 15-30 minutes). ⠀

*Most likely, the layers will harden a little while waiting at room temperature. Therefore, before pouring, just heat them in the microwave/stove to melt them and that's it, no need to boil!

To get the dessert out of the mold, gently pry it with a silicone spatula on one side and it will easily "come out". Serve with tangerines and rosemary!Enjoy your meal!
