Delicate liver pate that can be eaten by children: the simplest cooking idea
The liver is an extremely healthy and nutritious product that is most often consumed in the form of pate. But this ingredient has a rather specific taste – a bit bitter. Therefore, you need to cook the liver using a special technology. The dish will be very tender and tasty and even children will be able to eat it.
The idea of making tender liver pate was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Viktoriia (mika_nelegalkina).
Ingredients:
- chicken liver – 300 g (you can use any according to your preference);
- carrots – 1 pc
- onion – 0.5 pcs
- butter – 50 g
- oil (for frying) – 1-2 tbsp.
- milk – 0.5 cups (can be replaced with water, but milk tastes better)
- salt/spices as desired
Method of preparation:
1. Rinse the liver, cut off the films, and cut it into random pieces;
2. Chop the carrots and onions and fry them a little in a frying pan;
3. As soon as the onions begin to brown, add the liver and pour the milk. Simmer under a closed lid for ~15 minutes over low heat.
4. Pour the cooked liver into a blender bowl (do not add the broth in which the liver and vegetables were stewed), add the butter, and blend well until smooth. If the paste is too thick, you can add a little broth and blend again.
5. Put in a mold or deep container and put in a preheated oven for 10-15 minutes, brush with butter on top (so it will be stored longer).
6. Put in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours to allow the paste to harden.
