When asked whether it is possible to eat fruit immediately after a meal, people are divided into two camps: some believe that it is, while others are strongly against it. They explain this by saying that fruit in this case seems to cause "fermentation" in the body, which is not at all beneficial.

Nutritionist Alina Sapigaa shared on her Instagram page whether it is possible to eat fruit immediately after a meal.

According to the expert, fruit is a part of a balanced meal, an ideal dessert, and a healthy snack if supplemented with a portion of fat. With this in mind, you can eat them anytime: immediately after a meal, lunch, or even for dinner.

The recommended daily portion of fruit for an adult is only 300 g. That's because they contain complex natural sugars, the amount of which should be controlled in the diet.

If you are on a diet or losing weight, your daily portion remains the same – 300 g.

Claims that fruit sugar turns into fat or that fruit causes fermentation in the body remain myths.
