Cabbage soup with smoked ribs: a perfect winter soup full of vitamins
Cabbage soup is not only a nutritious first course that you can eat on your own and get full. It's also a soup full of vitamins that will provide good immunity in winter.
There are many ways to cook cabbage soup, but one of the best was shared on Instagram by a food blogger with the nickname myroslava_pekariuk. By the way, this dish is very popular with housewives who have fermented too much cabbage for the winter.
Ingredients:
- Sauerkraut - 500 gr
- Smoked ribs - 200 gr
- Pork ribs - 600 gr
- Onions - 2 pcs
- Carrot - 1 pc
- Parsley root
- Black peppercorns
- Bay leaf

How to cook:
1. Cut the ribs and put them in a saucepan. Add the whole peeled onion, bay leaf, peppercorns, and parsley root. Cover with cold water and put on low heat under a lid.
2. Put the potatoes in their skins to cook separately.
3. Finely chop the onion and grate the carrots. Cut the smoked ribs into portions.
4. Fry the smoked ribs in a preheated frying pan until they are crusty, add the onion, fry a little, and add the carrots, salt, pepper, sauerkraut, and stew. When the moisture in the pan is no longer sufficient, pour in a little broth from the pot and continue stewing.
5. Salt the broth, bring it to a boil, and strain. Add the boiled ribs and everything that was in the pan. Bring to a boil and cook until the cabbage is soft.
6. Separate the meat from the bones, and add the peeled potatoes, herbs, and sour cream.
